I was right not to spend too much time in the new Purview eDiscovery portal because it reverted a few days later.
Today, the new Purview solution for eDiscovery offers three different options: Premium, Standard, and Content Search.
The interface and single list of all standard and premium cases is gone.
I have it on good authority that it was a bug, and the new features are in preview.
Of course, Microsoft documentation is ahead of the game. It even suggests on this page that users can switch between the preview and classic interfaces, but that page does not explain where that setting is, and I haven’t seen it.
While I await the opportunity to test the preview, I am perusing the existing documentation to get an idea of how this will potentially change the workflow for eDiscovery folks. - This is an excellent place to start - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/edisc
From what I’ve seen so far, I’m standing by my previous issue's conclusion that this will significantly change the eDiscovery workflow for M365 data. We should stay on top of this and consider when the new portal experience becomes available. The old one is scheduled for retirement, so the time to get ahead is now.

Roadmap item 181617 tells me that the eDiscovery experience for Microsoft Forms content was enhanced, but the details of what has changed are vague.
