The New Purview and Meeting Transcript Changes

If you haven’t switched over to preview the new interface in Purview, you should check it out.
It’s a bit cleaner to put most of the tools into their portal-like experience instead of just one. For example, when you first get to Purview, there’s no sidebar, just a selection of tools broken out by area:
If you select one of the solutions, for example, the eDiscovery solution, you enter that area of Purview:
You’ll notice that you are focused exclusively on the eDiscovery solutions here, with the addition of Audit as a “Related solution.” I appreciate the focus. However, I am also a bit peeved at how many clicks it now takes to check a retention policy if I have a question while working in eDiscovery. This is not that uncommon in my work.
Then again, perhaps Microsoft has data showing that Ediscovery folks rarely have access to Data Lifecycle Management or any other Purview tools, and this makes perfect sense for many more users than me. I’m a bit unique.
The one place in eDiscovery that leaves me with questions is the eDiscovery Settings. Notice anything here:
